Fashion
I must tell that usually I do not follow the fashion tendencies but this particular case is different. The annual Victoria's Secrets Fashion Shows is something that I enjoy watching, specially because of the live performance of well known bands. In the end of the last year (2013), Fall out boy, along with Taylor Swift, were some of the invited artists to sing. Here is a clip of the show and I can say that this is one of my favorite songs of the year. I hope you enjoy :p

Long Absence
After almost a year, here I am to continue with my blog. New professional works and challenges are the main reasons for my long absence and my lake of time to make handmade pretty little things.
Anyway, I feel it is time to come back and share with you the things I like, my thoughts and other things :)
For this new return, I will perform some changes on the blog format and hoe you like it :p

New spider as big as your face found in Sri Lanka
<<A new species of venomous tarantula has been discovered - and as spiders go it's pretty big!

The tarantula, named Poecilotheria rajaei, has legs that span 20cm.
It was tracked down in northern Sri Lanka, and it's thought to be one of several new species of tarantula discovered there.
The species is said to be related to the Goliath bird-eater, one of the world's largest spiders.
Habitat under threat
Peter Kirk, Chairman of the British Tarantula Society, told Newsround there are worries about the spiders' habitat.
You may have seen Peter on CBBC's Pet School where he was one of the Extreme Animal Experts.
"The tarantulas of Sri Lanka have been studied in some detail in the past by myself and other arachnologists (spider experts!)" Peter said.
"But we have never been able to visit the north or east of the island because of the civil war that was going on there."
"Now Ranil Nanayakkara - a researcher from Sri Lanka - has done just that. Unfortunately, Ranil has noted that much of this tarantula's natural habitat has been destroyed."
It means the spiders have had to move closer to human homes and villages, he added.>>
I'm far away from being a spiders fan. In fact, I am a little afraid of them, but I do not suffer from arachnophobia.
I am just glad that this spider does not exist here in Portugal.

The Bible
The Bible is a television miniseries based on the Bible. It is produced by Roma Downey and Mark Burnett and was broadcast weekly between March 3 and March 31, 2013 on History Channel. The first episode of the mini-series was seen by 13.1 million viewers, the largest cable television audience of 2013 to date.
The series covers "Genesis to Revelation" in "one grand narrative," within five two-hour parts, each containing two or three biblical stories told through live action and computer-generated imagery.
The cast is an "international ensemble" chosen to avoid "distract[ing] the audience with recognizable celebrities" and the role of Jesus was played by a portuguese actor called Diogo Morgado.
I am really proud of seeing a portuguese in an international role :) and I laugh a lot when i saw the next video!

Today I saw a video that made me open my mouth and stare at the computer astonished. I could say a lot about it but you will understand what I mean if you see it.

Dracula

Dracula
by
Bram Stoker
"Irish author Bram Stoker introduced the character of Count Dracula and provided the basis of modern vampire fiction in his 1897 novel entitled "Dracula." Written as a series of letters, newspaper clippings, diary entries, and ships' logs, the story begins with lawyer Jonathan Harker journeying to meet Dracula at his remote castle to complete a real estate transaction. Harker soon discovers that he is being held prisoner, and that Dracula has a rather disquieting nocturnal life. Touching on themes such as Victorian culture, immigration, and colonialism, among others, this timeless classic is sure to keep readers on the edge of their seats! Now available as part of the Canterbury Classics singles series, "Dracula" is a must-have addition to the libraries of all classic literature lovers."
I always heard that this book was a mark for vampire fiction and a great book. When i saw this cover on the other day in the bookstore i just couldn't resiste!!! It's really nice!
This is going to be one of my next read. :)
