New spider as big as your face found in Sri Lanka

<<A new species of venomous tarantula has been discovered - and as spiders go it's pretty big!

The tarantula, named Poecilotheria rajaei, has legs that span 20cm.

It was tracked down in northern Sri Lanka, and it's thought to be one of several new species of tarantula discovered there.
The species is said to be related to the Goliath bird-eater, one of the world's largest spiders.

Habitat under threat
Peter Kirk, Chairman of the British Tarantula Society, told Newsround there are worries about the spiders' habitat.
You may have seen Peter on CBBC's Pet School where he was one of the Extreme Animal Experts.
"The tarantulas of Sri Lanka have been studied in some detail in the past by myself and other arachnologists (spider experts!)" Peter said.
"But we have never been able to visit the north or east of the island because of the civil war that was going on there."
"Now Ranil Nanayakkara - a researcher from Sri Lanka - has done just that. Unfortunately, Ranil has noted that much of this tarantula's natural habitat has been destroyed."
It means the spiders have had to move closer to human homes and villages, he added.>>

I'm far away from being a spiders fan. In fact, I am a little afraid of them, but I do not suffer from arachnophobia.
I am just glad that this spider does not exist here in Portugal.

The Bible

The Bible is a television miniseries based on the Bible. It is produced by Roma Downey and Mark Burnett and was broadcast weekly between March 3 and March 31, 2013 on History Channel. The first episode of the mini-series was seen by 13.1 million viewers, the largest cable television audience of 2013 to date.
The series covers "Genesis to Revelation" in "one grand narrative," within five two-hour parts, each containing two or three biblical stories told through live action and computer-generated imagery.
The cast is an "international ensemble" chosen to avoid "distract[ing] the audience with recognizable celebrities" and the role of Jesus was played by a portuguese actor called Diogo Morgado.
I am really proud of seeing a portuguese in an international role :) and I laugh a lot when i saw the next video!

Today I saw a video that made me open my mouth and stare at the computer astonished. I could say a lot about it but you will understand what I mean if you see it.

Eagle is a common name for some members of the bird family Accipitridae, and belong to several genera that are not necessarily closely related to each other. Eagles are large, powerfully built birds of prey, with a heavy head and beak. Even the smallest eagles, like the Booted Eagle or Red-tailed Hawk, have relatively longer and more evenly broad wings, and more direct, faster flight - despite the reduced size of aerodynamic feathers. Most eagles are larger than any other raptors apart from some vultures.
Eagles are one of my favourite animals so I painted one :)

The eagle is also the symbol of my football club: Sport Lisboa e Benfica.

Because You Are Mine

Because You Are Mine

Because You Are Mine

"From Beth Kery, the national bestselling author of Explosive, comes a red-hot romance like no other--where the rules of attraction are broken with that first electrifying touch. Meet Francesca and Ian. The fantasies of what's to come begin...
Because You Are Mine, an exciting tale of erotic obsession divided in 8 parts with 2 chapters.
Because You Tempt Me is the first part and it starts with that first look, when you know you have to have him... Francesca Arno has been commissioned to create a grand centerpiece painting for the lobby of Ian Noble's new skyscraper. It's at a cocktail party in her honor that she first meets him--and the attraction is immediate for Francesca. It's also bewildering. She's not used to such a wholesale sexual response to a stranger. Enigmatic, darkly intense, with a commanding presence, Ian completely unnerves her. And she likes it.
For Ian, she's the kind of woman he can't resist--one that comes all too rarely: a true innocent. But he can sense in her a desire to open up, to experiment, to give herself to the fantasies of a man in control. The first kiss, the first caress, the first challenge for a woman who craves what she's never had--a man who gets what he wants."

I liked this book, but I have to say that it looks like "fifty shades", with a domineering billionaire and a struggling student taking centre stage. I found the story a little predictable and familiar, as so many books in this genre have the same kind of storyline, but I only let go of the chapters after i read them all.
